In the project of a virtual reality simulator for the oil and gas industry, we decided to lay the possibility of a team working together to solve complex problems.

The main advantage is that the entire team is in one virtual situation, no matter where its members are in the real world.

Uncontrolled gas and oil production is still a serious problem in the oil industry. In conditions of open gushing, the lives of team members are at great risk. Gas, oil, and water inflow also brings with it an irreparable loss of oil and natural gas reserves on earth. The existing balance in nature is disturbed and leads to negative environmental consequences.

We developed a virtual simulator in multi-user mode to work out the team’s actions in the conditions of gas, oil, and water inflow. All members of the team can work together to work out the correct sequence of actions in the elimination of gas, oil, and water inflow in conditions as close to real as possible, but without human casualties and loss of raw materials.

According to the legend, during the operation of the well, an uncontrolled gas and oil phenomenon occurred, followed by a fire. After the fire is extinguished, the preventer must be replaced. A tractor with a hydraulic crane arrives at the site. Team members work together to replace the preventer under virtual guidance.

The advantage of the multiplayer solution is the close interaction of students. When solving a task, users negotiate in real time, interact with the same tools and objects, for example, pass them to each other. To implement such training, you only need the Internet, and the physical location of employees does not matter.

The training results and progress of each employee are saved in the user’s personal account for both the personal indicator and the teacher.
